How Are You Really Washing Your Bras?
22nd Mar 2016
We all know lingerie comes with special washing instructions...but we also know our customers are busy ladies. So we asked you to be honest about how you're actually doing your lingerie laundry. Here's what we learned:
- Some of you don't even wash your bras at all! Ever! Past history of damage has made some women fear laundering their bras.
- Lots of you wash your bras very, very infrequently. Women have very few bras that fit them well and since they want to hang dry their delicates, they don't often get long stretches of time where they don't need the bra.
- Some of you find tricks to beat the stink, like putting your bras in the freezer overnight in hopes of killing bacteria, because you aren't able to wash them frequently.
- Some of you are just too darn cramped for time to follow special washing instructions and just pop your bras in the washer or dryer like all the rest of the laundry
We definitely want you to take care of your Levana Bratique products. We know these bras can be expensive, and we want them to last to make it worth your while. If you've been waiting for the sweat line to creep up your back before you toss your bras in the wash, we're hoping we have a solution for you.
We love this Bra Washing Cube--it's better than a lingerie bag. The cube will still protect your other garments from any hooks or velcro, but the three-dimensional shape of the cube also protects your bras, especially if you have molded cups! The mesh container holds up to 2 bras and is really more of a dome than a cube. We suggest washing your bra(s) in the cube in the evening, hanging to dry overnight, and we hope you'll find your garments are fresh and ready for you to wear to work again in the morning.
