The Breast Life: Elisabeth Dale Writes About Boobs

19th Sep 2016

Elisabeth Dale writes about boobs. Everything there is to know about boobs.

Her first book, b00bs: A Guide to Your Girls, came out in 2007 and she's now working on a series of shorter guides to help women understand, take care of, and support their breasts. Her website, The Breast Life, is a great resource for women to learn about recent trends in health, enhancement, and surgical options as well as trends in the lingerie industry.

Where b00bs is an informative, comprehensive guide to breasts, her second book The Bra Zone is a consumer guide to the world of the bra, incorporating myths surrounding the garment as well as explanations of the various styles, sizing systems, and functions of bras.

One of the biggest takeaways I noticed in her writings was her comment, "I blamed my body for any bra problems." Her work is so body positive, reassuring women their bodies are normal and beautiful. One of Dale's favorite topics is bras, because she helps women understand that there are vast differences between fabrics, shapes, cup materials, and even the way seams are sewn into bras.

We definitely understand that here at Levana Bratique, and pride ourselves on our personalized customer service to help each women find the right bra for her body. We agree with Dale that all breast sizes, shapes, and placements are normal.

To that end, Dale publishes "Mammoirs" on her website--testimonials from real women like you, talking about breasts and all the interesting things surrounding them. She also gathered a list of bras that meet her "Breast Life Seal of Approval," and we're pretty excited that a number of our styles meet this benchmark.

Bras like our Bella Materna T-Shirt Bra or our Elomi Amelia are listed among Dale's choices of high quality garments, which Dale chooses to "help every person learn to live and embrace their unique breast life."

In one of her recent blog posts, she lists signs women are wearing the perfect bra. She says if your bra makes you happy even when you're not wearing it or if you buy multiples of the same style/brand, you just might have found the perfect bra for you. We're thrilled when customers tell us these things about their bras! We are big fans of Dale's books and even bigger fans of you--the women seeking the right bra for the right function in your wonderful, complex lives.
