Bra Art Raises Funds for Low-Income Families

30th Jan 2017

If you've been into our Bratique, you've seen that we use bras as art throughout our shop. We just think they're so pretty! We have bra string art on the walls and pretty bras displayed throughout the shelves. We decorated our Christmas tree with bras in December.

One Texas community has also been using bra art...to raise funds for low-income neighbors! An organization called Health for All (a clinic for people without health insurance) hosts an auction selling these works of art. Artists create designs using takeout containers, feathers, and even cans to auction off. This image of a bra from 2015 used breakfast food! According to The Eagle, last year's event raised $24,000. This year's auction takes place at the end of February and will include hats as artistic canvas, too.
