CB What Now?

Unless you actively avoid reading or watching the news, you've probably heard a lot of whisperings about CBD oil. Often this comes along with discussions of the legalization of medical marijuana, which has fascinated everyone from policy wonks to accountants around the nation. 

Here at Levana Bratique, we hear a lot about CBD because our neighboring small businesses, friends, and clients tell us all about it. Today, we're going to give you the run-down. 

What even is CBD?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which in fancy terms is the cannabinoid constituent of cannabis, derived from hemp, that does not contain THC. In other words, it's a bi-product we get from a hemp plant, but it won't get you high. It's not "drugs" and it's a legal substance in almost all states. 

But isn't hemp the same thing as marijuana?

Nope! Hemp is a non-psychoactive plant that's mostly used for clothing, paper, dietary supplements, and cosmetics (we'll get to that in a bit!). Marijuana is cultivated to enhance its THC content for medicinal or recreational purposes.

So you're selling pot lotion now?
