Ease Your Aching Back with Spand-Ice

Posted by on

Everyone on our staff remembers the low-back aches of late pregnancy. My, it's a hard thing to grow a human being using just your body! Unfortunately, many of us suffer from back pain other times, too. As we looked for new ways to help our customers care for themselves this month, we were elated to learn about a local Pittsburgh company called Spand-Ice

Its founder has suffered from chronic low back pain, and wanted to create a solution for women to apply ice, heat, or compression. Or all three!

After trying a lot of products that were uncomfortable, inconvenient, and time consuming, founder Heather Behn decided to invent her own solution, and Spand-Ice products were born.

We carry both the Maternity Relief Wrap and the Revive Tank (pictured)!

The Maternity Relief Wrap has two therapy pockets for low and mid back pain relief. It comes with reusable packs for cold or heat therapy, adjustable compression straps to accommodate your growing belly, and can be worn under or over clothing. Never fear: the specially-designed fabric will protect your skin from heat or cold extremes.

We are really excited about the Revive Tank. Like the wrap, it comes with pockets and packs to apply cold or heat to your lower or mid-back. You can adjust the compression of the vest for easy wear and removal, even if you're injured. The tank can be worn on its own, as a base layer, or over clothing.

The tank zips in the front, which is so great for people who have had surgery or can't lift their arms due to other injuries or conditions.

Please let us know what you think if you've tried these Spand-Ice products. We are so excited to offer them in our bratique!
