Matilda: Surprisingly Supportive, Certainly Sexy

10th Apr 2017

"I want a lacy one," I told Judy when I came in to buy some post-weaning bras last month. We tried on a few that itched or didn't quite fit. I wanted something sexy, but needed it to be supportive and comfortable enough to wear full time.

So, ever the wise bra whisperer, Judy handed me Matilda. Was it sexy? Extremely. Was it comfortable? Surprisingly, yes. Was it supportive? Indeed she was. I wore it home and later texted Judy "this is the best bra I've ever had."

I can't promise that this text had perspective, but Matilda is pretty amazing. The thing that I notice most of all? The inside casing for the underwire is lined with a soft, fuzzy material so nothing rubs or itches. The manufacturer, Elomi, doesn't even brag about this for some reason, but I think it's the best part.

The cups are made from a beautiful, sheer materials, which doesn't seem like it would support a G-cup bust, but it does. The band is also sheer, but delightfully elastic. This bra breathes as it lifts.

Part of the magic comes from 3-part seamed cups. You know we at Levana Bratique love a seamed cup! I have asymmetrical breasts and between the stretchy material and the seams, this bra fits like a dream.

Another bonus for me is that the bra converts to a racerback if you need a bit more lift or a different strap configuration to accommodate the cut of a dress or top.

If you're looking for a complete set, we sell the matching sheer panties as well.

Because we love Matilda so much and know you'll love her, too, we made Matilda the bra of the month for April. Let us know what you think once you try her on.
